Prior to joining the University of Michigan in 2012, Diane spent 23 years at General Motors in a variety of roles, including Research Librarian, Regional Administrator, and Senior Manager of the GM Technical Education Program. In her senior management position, she led a multicultural, virtual team of administrators, developed partnerships and curricula with top-tier universities, and led the expansion of this unique educational program for engineers to 20 countries.
Diane focuses her efforts on collaborating with faculty and staff at Michigan Engineering to provide outstanding, engaging online and professional education for learners worldwide using online, hybrid, and face-to-face delivery modes of teaching. She is the founding director of Nexus, a dynamic organization that has recently evolved from the College’s 80+ years in professional education and 25+ years in graduate distance education to become a central resource for the entire College. Nexus manages the College’s professional education portfolio; provides professional services to faculty and staff for the development, design, and delivery of online credit courses and degrees; and coordinates major corporate-educational partnerships and custom programs for clients around the world.
Diane earned her M.A. in Library Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a B.A. from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
