LEARN WITH NEXUS
Multi-Modal Learning Options
Nexus delivers asynchronous online courses through Canvas, a cloud-based learning management system (LMS) used to facilitate teaching, learning, and collaboration. These courses are self-paced, so can complete the coursework on your own time while meeting regular deadlines.
Thanks to an in-house recording studio and dynamic lecture capture system that enables learners to easily search content, take notes, and drag slides alongside video, Nexus puts online students in control. High-quality content, active learning techniques, group discussions, and student/faculty interaction further adds to an engaging learning experience.
To learn more about the features Canvas provides to supplement and enhance learning, read the University’s Student Guide.
Remote-live courses enable learners to engage directly with their instructors and classmates while still providing the flexibility of distance learning. In a live format, you can ask questions, work on group learning exercises, and take part in real time discussions. Instructors are able to poll learners and receive immediate feedback, helping them guide conversations and address topics most important to the class.
To ensure the learning experience is on par with in-person instruction, we film many courses in our enhanced remote classroom facilities, which are outfitted with the latest learning technology.
Benefits of remote-live learning include the opportunity to:
- Interact live with expert faculty from anywhere in the world
- Easily access recorded lectures, course materials, and supplemental resources
- Ask questions and participate in class discussions
- Take part in collaborative group learning exercises
- Connect with your classmates and share best practices
Classes are held in-person on campus in Ann Arbor or another specific location.
Attend in-person in the classroom, participate live online, or a combination of the two.
