Instructor Emily Hampton-Morash leads the course with a mindful, non-judgmental approach. She teaches professionals to lead with intention, build cohesive teams, and foster positive workplace cultures.
The course is highly interactive, and participant engagement is key to absorbing and retaining the key concepts. Participants will gain practical tools they can immediately apply in their workplace. After completing the course, you will know how to lead with confidence and to connect on a deeper level with your team.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This two-day interactive course runs in the classroom in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In preparation for this course, participants will take an assessment called The Communication Compass. This assessment allows for a more holistic understanding of communications styles, including outward expression and internal drivers. Participants will also receive a copy of Emily’s book.

Principles of Mindfulness
- Explore and understand human behavior drivers
- Discover mindfulness and the power of being present
Mindful Communication in Teams
- Strengthen communication through Everything DiSC® and Zones of Reaction
- Foster collaboration and understand diverse communication styles within teams
Leadership, Power, and Emotional Intelligence
- Differentiate between leadership and management, and their roles
- Explore power dynamics and the balance between social-emotional and business needs
- Deep dive into the four quadrants of emotional intelligence, including empathy, sympathy, apathy, and disdain
- Practice active listening and empathetic communication
Generational Diversity in the Workplace
- Understand generational differences and similarities
- Lead from a place of empathy and mindful awareness of diverse workplace needs
Conflict Resolution and Feedback
- Navigate workplace conflicts with nonviolent communication and conflict mediation techniques
- Master assertive feedback and authentic expression using the P.O.I.S.E.D. method
- Balance empathy and assertiveness in providing feedback
Stress Identification and Reduction
- Learn to identify stressors and implement healthy coping strategies
- Practice mindfulness techniques to mitigate stress and promote well-being
