Ann Arbor Art Fair: July 18-20

Renowned as the largest juried art fair nationwide, this vibrant extravaganza gathers nearly 1,000 artists, spanning 30 city blocks in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. Stroll through the streets and view the phenomenal artwork made by talented artists.

Ann Arbor Summer Festival: June 14-30

Are you a fan of the performing arts? This 3-week festival in June celebrates the best in theatre, dance, music, or comedy. With an entertaining roster of performers, a variety of food stands, and evening movie screenings, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Huron Hills Golf Course

Michigan’s weather in the summertime is perfect for a round of golf at Huron Hills on Ann Arbor’s Northside. Take advantage of the beautiful par 67, 18-hole golf course spanning 5,071 yards. Whether you are in town over the weekend for the 2-week Human Factors Engineering course or you want to squeeze in a quick game after class, this course is a great option for experienced and beginner golfers.

Argo Park & Nature Area

Located a few miles from University of Michigan North Campus, Argo Park stretches 22 acres on the east side of the Huron River. Home of the Argo Canoe Livery, this lively spot draws in people who are interested in renting canoes, kayaks, and rafts to paddle down the river. Walk on the scenic trails or have a coffee in the picnic area with your colleagues.

Peony Season at the University of Michigan Nichols Arboretum

Beginning around Memorial Day to mid-June, the U-M Nichols Arboretum holds nearly 800 peonies and over 10,000 flowers at peak bloom. Not in town to see the peonies? Visit the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, located a few miles from the University of Michigan North Campus. After your class is over for the day, visit the garden and connect with the beauty of nature. Explore the stunning walking trails and the indoor conservatory with plants from all over the world.

Live Jazz at Weber’s Habitat on Fridays

Do you enjoy delicious food and live music? Unwind after a long day of lectures with a live Jazz quartet at Weber’s Restaurant. Indulge in a great meal and a pleasant atmosphere with your colleagues and peers on your last night in Ann Arbor. between local organizations and artists, this initiative brings beautiful murals and artwork to the Ann Arbor community for creatives to enjoy for free.
